Foot & Hand massage
The foot & hand massage treatment encourages blood circulation and releases energy blocks by stimulating the special pressure points in the foot and palm (Tsubo, in Japanese). The pressure points activate different organs in the body indirectly, encouraging healing from various disorders such as cold and aches, skin problems, eye fatigue and muscle stiffness.
In the Japanese language, shiatsu means "finger pressure". By putting moderate pressure on various Meridian points on the body, and by gently stretching and moving muscles and joints, this treatment balances the body's energy flow. This treatment is performed without oil - please wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing for the treatment. The healing treatment leaves a feeling of calmness and well-being and it leads to a sense of increased vitality.
Tuina massage is similar to acupuncture in that the therapist applies pressure to stimulate specific acupuncture points in the body. Based on traditional Chinese medicine, Tuina promotes balance and harmony within the body by manipulating the Qi, the body’s vital life force or energy, in the acupuncture channels. The treatment is generally used to heal blockages or imbalance, rather than for relaxation.
